Let Me Decay. |
Actually it's four, but five sounds just right.
When was the last time you picked up the phone
Only to throw it at your dog, that bone.
Countless tries, to forget your soft voice
It's all a lie, I never tried.
What's tragic is you believed my lies
Poker face outside, inside I died.
That month of the year, still frozen in time
Haunts my dreams, keeps me awake nights.
I pray for time to speed by, make it fly
Or go back to that damn January, again try.
Try to hold on to something that slipped
Away from my fingers, left me in a ditch.
How did I push you away, I wonder why
I'm dying to do something, exit this standby.
I closed the door on you a while ago
So why is it still so hard for me to let you go.
You've found new love though, I see he's tall
I've heard he's chivalrous, plays basketball.
Seems like you left and I begged you to stay
But wasn't it I who pushed you away.
Ain't I supposed to love being free, celebrate
But fuck what's supposed to be, let me decay.

if i was an articulate person, i'd use really nice words to tell you how wonderful it was to read this!
p.s u have an excellent taste in music. keep posting the links.
@bumblebee29 - See I had to Google "articulate" to know what it means. So I guess that makes it a nice word.
Thanks for coming here. You'll find a couple of sleeping bags lying around. Make yourself at home.
Thanks on both counts. Will do. Definitely.
First of all, you've again manage to get the words to rhyme properly. Congrats. Lovely poem. Really liked it. Yeah, i figured what the photo symbolises.
Next, I think "The One" has screwed you up pretty bad in the head. You have my sympathies.
Next, i like this song. I also like "Rope". It's brilliant. Have you seen those videos in which they give tribute to the Beatles? It's nice right?
Lastly, thank you for mentioning about the badge. I never thought anyone would give a shit. :D
@V - It ain't poetry if it don't rhyme, right?
And thank-you. Sadness is kinda beautiful and stuff at times I guess.
Sympathies? Sing to me. That'll be better.
I like Rope too. But Walk is ultimate. If you are talking about the Beatles' Blackbird cover, then yes. It's nice.
Don't mention it. Happy to help and I give like a lot of shit. Incessant amounts.
"Let Me Decay."
It's a perfect title for a good poem. I know the feeling and it really sucks!
The photo is good also!
Oh yeah! I almost forgot.
I LOVE your header...
@Pat - Hey Pat! Great to see you back here.
Thank-you. It's got a nice ring to it, right? Yeah, feeling sucks. Very much actually. Thanks, I try.
Yeah. The Header. Put a lot of work into it. Glad to know someone noticed it!
Great poem. Way, way worth the wait. And as for the photo, you should freelance or something. It's amazing. Really. And yes, it is sheer perfection. Even if you said it yourself already.
Foo Fighters are always awesome :D.
And sorry to hear about the one. Why does chivalry even have to be something a guy should have? No warring kingdoms. No evil sorcerers. Damsels aren't in distress anymore. Far from it. They can be quite the bitches actually. What are we, still ruled by King Arthur? Pshh. Chivalry. It even sounds weird. Sounds like Shivery. Which is the pole opposite of it. Ha. Eponymous words.
What a pic!
Which cam do you use?
Also, interesting poem.
If forgetting her is so hard, why don't you just go and get her back buddy?
Loved your poem.Inspired.I read it like 4-5 times. In between I just tried to write somethin of my own.But after a couple of scribblings I thought I had rather be happy with doodling.
That song too is nice. Now its on my playlist.
Great title+Awesome poetry+Awesome-er photgraphy - that seriously is perfection!
@Divya - And my favorite groupie speaketh again.
Thanks a ton Einstein. Worth the wait na. I know I know. Picture's awesome too. I am so down to earth. So humble.
Foo Fighters make me wanna grow my hair longer.
Chivalry is a nice quality I belive. And damsels are always in distress. Seriously. Even though the fairer sex might not always accept it.
You are so eccentric and funny.
@CoB - I use my Blackberry Bold 9700 for the pictures. Pretty standard.
You said interesting. I don't know if it's okay to get back with you Coco Berry.
Thanks for dropping by.
@Shaurya - You're too generous with the comments man. Don't let me climb this tree of ego. I'm gonna have a bad fall soon.
Keep scribbling. Scribbles that rhyme are poems okay.
Thanks for the kind words.
Yes. Maybe not.
But sometimes one just wonders.
Anyway the blog's been doing great, good on you! (y)
@CoB - I wonder all the time. All the fucking time. All the goddamn time. All the bloody time.
Yes. It has I guess.
Why did you have to be so obvious. Why.
Hmmmm, yes. I guess I do too.
But anyway.
I had no idea you'd smartened up. I almost fell off my chair when I read your reply, except of course, I wasn't really ON a chair.
But yea.
@CoB - Stop guessing.
I've always been smart okay. In fact my first words were, "I'm so fucking smart."
You've become too predictable.
Ok fine, fine, I do.
Yes, I'm sure.
No, I'm not. You just know me too well. I think.
Thank you. :) I'm flattered.
Chivalry is...good. I just don't think it is an essential prerequisite. All the hype about knights in shining armors. Hell, I don't really mind non-chivalrous people. If they're scared of cockroaches, spiders, lizards and the like, no problem. I ain't afraid. I can always be the damsel in her shining armor to the rescue. Komodo dragons? Monitor lizards in the bathroom? Bring it on. Really. I am the official reptile and insect chaser in the house. And yes, I am a girl. And I can survive the Zombie Apocalypse. All I need is a gun and a pole. And a nice bottle of mineral water. Preferably from the mountains. A bag of chips would also help.
Ok, I should stop showing off now. My point is, not chivalrous? Not a problem. Honesty is key. Maybe. Reason why I took the insects in the house problem is, it's common and easy to relate to. So, don't nitpick and all. Modern day chivalry it is. And it should stop being male-oriented. Period.
I should consider being an exterminator. Pests are a pain. I am a pain. We get along well. Aha.
Favourite groupie? I'm honoured. Send me a badge or something. :P
@CoB - Think? Know.
Why are you doing this. Why now.
@Divya - This blog is a no fly zone for tonight. At least this blog post.
I can't kill insects.
I'll send you a badge when you have a blog.
I know. And you know it too.
I'm not doing anything.
Delete all our comments, it'll be like I didn't say anything at all.
And I could ask you same thing.
Why now.
@CoB - Not doing anything. Swell.
Deleting everything... you're good at that. I'm not.
@CoB - What why now. What did I even do.
Things are like they always were at my blog. Almost.
Err, ok. I'll keep that in mind.
I am a merciless, remorseless killer of insects and the like. Muhahaha.
Yeah, yeah. I know you will. Just telling you in advance.
Who asked you to figure out what the hell CoB even was.
Blah.
@CoB - You wanted me to.
Bah.
Not really, no.
It was a tad bit embarassing when you did.
Humbug.
@CoB - Yes.
Uhuh. Or ahah. Or I forgot.
Ahan.
Isn't it past your bedtime? Heh.
@CoB - Ahan. Okay.
I'm 18 okay. I have no bedtime. You didn't even wish me.
I didn't?
Think again...
@CoB - Fuck. I knew it was you.
I knew it.
Yea, I know.
But it wasn't like today.
Anyway, a lil' late it is, but happy birthday. Atleast this time you know for sure.
@CoB - Thank-you. I knew before also. I just forgot.
You couldn't have known for sure.
@CoB - I did.
CoB is so stupid. You could have at least given me a challenge.
Shutaaap.
Nothing about my four-legged love is stupid.
I imagined you'd think more on the lines of Coby Brian(hold on, is it even Coby Brian?) and assume it's a guy.
But you.....well, couldn't go beyond my dog. Or me.
My dog, yes, ok.
@CoB - That dog is stupid okay. It eats practically everything.
And it's Kobe Bryant blondie. Women.
I wasn't thinking about the dog.
Hey, I'm not the one who plays sports ok. Bbal, least of all.
Say another word about my dog and I'll kill you. Ok, I won't.
But he's not stupid. He's smart, and handsome, and fun.
And yes, I know you weren't. Dogs are the last things on your mind.
I'm loving the heart-shaped chin, btw.
@CoB - Glad you didn't call gyming playing sports.
Your dog - stupid.
No the last are zebras.
You didn't notice it earlier?
You - stupid.
My dog - hero.
I want zebras.
I did. I always liked it, but i'm loving it in this pic.
@CoB - I'm awesome.
Ask my blog readers okay.
You want a giraffe.
That too.
I think I'll go live in a jungle.
Maybe not.
Our life would make an interesting movie for sure.
@CoB - It's still not over.
Picture abhi baki hai mere dost.
You mean individually?
Yes, it isn't.
This is like texting you. But with horrible signal.
And the fact that it'll be read by your fans.
And you're not even going to delete all this.
@CoB - Brutal.
Uhuh. I don't delete stuff on my blog. And Followers is a better term.
I was just asking. I didn't say that's what I wanted.
You know what I mean.
Ahan?
@CoB - I don't know what you mean. Not anymore.
You know exactly what I mean.
You knew right from the first comment.
@CoB - Listen. Not like this, not right now.
I'll talk to you in a month. You're too much of a distraction right now.
Don't reply to this. Please.
Wait some more. Night.
@Divya - Sorry. Blogs open now.
I'm sorry, but I am going to.
I don't want it like this and right away either.
You were right, everything has it's own time.
As for waiting...
Hmm, I don't know what to say about that.
Night, take care.
You are an awesome poet! I'mppm usually not a fan of poems but this one takes the cake
keep it up :)
Ah. Its been a while.
Poem has an almost rappy sorta thing to it. Actually tried rapping the whole thing.
And it ain't that hard to figure out who CoB is. considered talking to each other?
Names sound so lame after CoB and Peevie juice. I think i'll go with something else.
@Tanay - Hahahaha. Such a nut. I guess rap is just poetry with a few abuses and that nigger swag put in.
Naah. Not the right time to talk. Though I think our kid is gonna be called Coco Juice or something.
Interesting blog :)
And VERY interesting comments :D
@HappinessFreak - Thank-you.
What is up with parents and them giving stupid names to their children these days.
Nice poem! Have you realized that the best poems come when you're heartbroken?
I guess it's all the emotions or something.
AND love the last line. Let me decay. It pretty much sums up how I've been feeling recently. Like shit.
I like the picture too. Nice perspective. And the jagged line that goes through the window. Says a lot somehow.
And like Divya said. Chivalry doesn't count too much these days. True it's nice to see a gentleman now and then but mostly I find it condescending. It doesn't count for too much.
@ Divya - you really ought to start a blog you know? I LOVE the way you write.:)
@girl with the broken smile : Right? Exactly. Chivalry is old as hell. What happens if the damsel courts you, walks all over you and then screams for another knight to save her? First off, she has commitment issues. But still the chivalry? Reeaally??
I say kill the bloody bitch. Chivalry schmivelry. Or better. Shivery. Ha.
There is something charming about a man who is willing to admit he is scared of heights. Or spiders. No, no ego boost here. Just charming. 'Comfortable in his own skin' charming. Nothing sissy about it. Oh and a man who loves lightsaber fights.
And thank you, girl with the broken smile! :) I shall. Soon.
*Closes blog window. Closes door. Exclaims, "Yessssssss!!! Someone loves the way I write!!! Yesss!I will start blog now. Nowwww." After two minutes of awesome feeling and lecturing self about perils of procrastination, yawns. Pats stomach. Falls asleep owing to heavy lunch.*
Nap calls. I'll probably dream of blawwgatopia. But I'll start soon. Till then, watch out for psuedo-chivalrous guys. Or chivalrous guys. I'm confused now. Bah.
@the girl with the broken smile - Thank-you. Yeah, I know. Which pretty much leaves me being heartbroken a lot.
Let Me Decay just came out of no fucking where. And I'm like woah. This is some good shit.
Thanks. I'm glad that it's just not me who thinks that I'm capable of clicking decent snaps.
I'm chivalrous. Mostly anyways. And I can't realy stop even if some girl ain't comfortable with it. That's just me.
Divya is starting a blog very very soon.
Hi Peevie Juice. I'm not into poetry but it is a nice poem, it's not all ridiculous and talking about trees and forests and paths in the forest and shit.
Also, your photograph is cool. I was all, "What a cool photograph" and then saw that you had taken it.
Ramble ramble ramble ramble!
Hi Cake Betch. God I love your name.
I'm not into poetry myself apart from Robert Frost I suppose. I don't realy write about that kinda stuff. It's just love and pain.
And thanks. Appreciate the response. I should totally buy a kick-ass camera. But fuck expensive.
Ramble is good no?
@ Divya - You know what? That could be a mini blog post in itself. :P
You know about the whole shivelry shmuck thingy.
PJ (can I call you that?) chivalry is fine. Actually it's good. But waaaaaay too many of the times you know a guy is doing it to just get into your pants. Or you know, at least your phone number. I can open a goddamn door, thank you very much.
But chivalry, I think needs to be redefined in the modern context.
You know one thing I don't mind though? It's when a guy pays for all the stuff! :D Hehe. I'm just kidding. 5o-5o.
Divya. Blog. Now! I want to read it!
@the girl with the broken smile - Call me Peevie.
I can speak for myself. I am chivalrous when I'm trying to get in a girl's pants and also when I'm not.
And unless and until I'm completely broke I can't allow myself to not pay for a woman.
Just saying.
the poem was too good.. Actually stirred the sentiments in me..
!!
Keep up the great work ..
*thumbs up*
@Nia Charms - Hey. Welcome to my blog.
I stirred sentiments. Yes, That made me feel nice.
Thanks and will do.
